Health and Wellbeing
We have built an environment that is both soothing and stimulating. The interior of the cattery is bright and cosy with each individual suite finished in blue, pink or green pastel colours as these colours have been identified as “calming colours” to cats. All suites exceed the recommended size as stated with CIEH (charted institute of environmental health). We have 14 standard suites that can comfortably accommodate up to 2 guests from the same household and 5 family suits. Our Nevis and Tiree family suites can house 3 cats, our Nessie and Affric suites can house up to 4 cats from the same household and our largest Harris suite can house 5-6 cats from the same household. All suites offer a separate sleeping area and play area where beds and scratching post are provided. All sleeping areas have their own window located at the rear which can be easily accessed for viewing the lovely countryside.

The cattery has subtle piped music playing throughout the day to represent familiar daily household noises.

The cattery building is fully insulated and built to house specifications. This ensures a warm cosy winter and a cool fresh summer. All suites have individual heating and thermometers to ensure temperatures remain within recommended guidelines.
The frontage of the cattery has large windows throughout to enable all suites to have views over the garden and countryside. Our garden is visited often by a wonderful variety of songbirds when they come to feed on the bird feeder.

Cleanliness and infection control are especially important. That is why all rooms are fully deep cleaned between guests. When a cat vacates the cattery, the suite will not be available until the following day to allow for a through deep clean. Therefore, suites are charged on day of arrival and departure.
Health and Medication

All cats must be fully vaccinated against Infectious Enteritis and Feline Influenza with vaccination records being made available on arrival. We are happy to accept manageable cats who have prescribed medications. All medications must have either a veterinary prescription label or have clear written instructions, verbal instructions will not be accepted.

We are experienced on caring for diabetic cats including cats who are prescribed insulin injections.
We do not charge any additional charges for administering any form of medications.

We recommend that all cats have adequate flea and worm treatment prior to their stay. Should any cat be found to have an infestation of fleas on arrival, the management reserve the right to treat the cat at the owner’s expense
